In order to receive employment assistance through Dual Career Resources, the employee and accompanying spouse/partner must meet the following requirements:
Employee
- must be a new employee and must have relocated from outside of Utah for a position at the University
- the position the employee relocated for must be a regular position (full-time, permanent and fully benefits-eligible)
- must have enrolled in Dual Career Resources within one month of starting their on-line orientation modules in order to be eligible for assistance
Accompanying Spouse/Partner
- must be seeking full-time employment
- must have all the necessary documents, certifications and/or licenses to be able to work in Utah
- understands that the U does not create positions for spouses or partners
- understands that this is not a job placement program
- understands that the U can not guarantee employment
- understands that services will be provided for only one year and that services will end upon the partner’s acceptance of a full-time position
Employees Who Do Not Qualify for Dual Career Resources
Employees who do not qualify for Dual Career Resources are:
- part-time employees
- temporary employees
- adjunct faculty
- visiting scholars
- consultants/contracted employees
- post docs
- house staff
- students (graduate students, medical students etc)
- medical residents, psych residents, etc.
